How to Help - Support our Bursary Fund

Relate is a registered charity and aims to keep costs to clients as low as possible. We believe that access to counselling services should be a right not a special privilege.

Our Trustees, Friends of Relate, Corporate Sponsors, Volunteers and staff work very hard through the year to raise extra money to provide a Bursary Fund. This special fund is used to support clients who cannot meet the full cost of counselling.

We receive a limited amount of funding from local authorities, grants and trust funds, but there is a shortfall each year which needs to be met by our own fundraising efforts.

Phil's 500 mile sponsored

Cycle Challenge

Phil Scotland.jpg

Phil Cassidy, Trustee of Relate Solent and Winchester, set himself the huge challenge of cycling the North Coast 500 during August 2016 to raise money for the Relate Solent and Winchester Bursary Fund. This is a tough ride of 516 miles around the coastal edges of the North Highlands taking in the villages and towns of places like Ullapool, Durness, John O'Groats, Dornoch and Inverness. Follow Phil's photo blog here to see just how challenging yet beautiful this challenge has been. If you would like to support Phil and the Relate Solent and Winchester Bursary Fund please visit Phil's JustGiving page. All donations will boost the Bursary Fund and will help us to support those who would not otherwise be able to access our services.

St Mary's Stadium Tour

and Quiz Night

Saints Ground.jpegIn May 2016 80 lucky guests enjoyed a very interesting behind the scenes tour of Southampton Football Club’s St Mary’s Stadium followed by a delicious curry supper and quiz with musical, general knowledge and sports themes.  There was music, dancing, a bar, raffle and grand auction.  A fantastic time was had by all and the event raised a wonderful total of over £2,000 for the Relate Solent and Winchester Bursary Fund.
